Brand New Lonesome Credits
For the sake of clarity I credited John Switzer with recordiing Brand New Lonesome.
That is because he did most of the recording and all of the mixing for the project.
There were a few things recorded elsewhere...
Here are some recording credits that didn't make it to print.
John Davis recorded the scratch tracks for me in his basement on garage band. They were intended to be guide tracks so everything was re-recorded, but I think a good portion of the vocal on I'm the One made it to the CD.
Andy Scheinman did me a favor and recorded Lee Shropshire and Linda MacRae singing background vocals on Red Yellow Blue, while I was visiting Andy and Lee in Nashville.
Kevin Quain recorded his accordion and some background vocals at his cool little studio in the Cameron House.
Evelyne Datl recorded her piano tracks at home.
All tracks recorded in other locations were tweaked by John Switzer, master tweaker,
who deserves extra thank you's for giving up so many Friday nights with his family.
My father, Fleming Mackell paid for the stuff you just can't get for free,
mastering and manufacturing. Thanks Dad. He along with the rest of my family have always given me something that money can't buy, their unconditional love and support .
My career stands on those shoulders.
Everyone on this record was paid very little and in most cases no money for their contributions.
I will never have enough thank you's for the people whose talent and generosity helped make this record what it is. I can only say that it has been my great fortune to know and enjoy such a wonderful community of musicians and artists.
THANK YOU ALL |
